From one Town Hall to ten cities

Every lord begins with a single Town Hall in a quiet corner of the realm. Build cottages to grow your population, farms, sawmills, quarries and iron mines to feed your economy, and a Warehouse to protect your stores. Each Town Hall level opens more resource fields and more room to grow.

Research and buildings

The Academy researches technologies that boost production, construction speed, troop strength and march speed. Twenty kinds of buildings work together: the Barracks trains troops, the Mustering Field lets you send armies, the Hall of Champions houses your heroes, the Embassy connects you to an alliance and the Marketplace lets you trade with other lords.

Armies and walls

Train warriors, pikemen, swordsmen, archers, cavalry, cataphracts and siege engines, from battering rams to catapults. Raise Walls and fill them with traps, abatis, archer towers and other defenses to keep raiders out.

Grow into an empire

Earn titles from Commoner to King to rule more cities. Found new cities with settlers, take barbarian strongholds, or win a historic city. Production keeps running while you're away, so a few visits a day are enough to keep your empire growing.
